We think this covers most things that might pop up. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us! We really hope that you all can make it, and would far prefer to clarify or adjust something so that you can all make it.

Passports

We recommend organising your passports now so there is one less thing to worry about, there is a price rise coming into effect soon as well. Please ensure you have at least 6 months validity from the date of your return flight to be safe.

We have no registry and don’t expect any gifts, we are so grateful to all of our guests for travelling to the other side of the world and taking a week off work. We do encourage you to take what you would normally be gifting to ensure that you can make it and make your week in France that more special!

Not a lot! We recommend bringing bathers (use code FRIENDS on swiym.com) and active clothing, as there is a pool, a lake, a tennis court and the grounds themselves are over 30 acres and perfect for a morning stroll. We do require that you read the dress code and bring outfits for all events as specified.
To us, nothing! All accommodations, food, drink, and on site / organised activities will be paid for by the bride and groom. You’ll just need to organise your travel to and from Bordeaux, including a few nights accommodation before or after if you’d like, you should be able to organise this for no more than $2000 per person AUD.
Unfortunately for our wedding there are no plus one’s allowed -unless your name/s are stated on the invitation. Please reach out well in advance if you have any question’s with this.

The dress code is specified on the dress code page, both the ceremony and the welcome dinner have dress requirements. We are going to be as strict as possible on the dress code for the wedding ceremony, and if the dress code isn’t possible we ask that you communicate this prior as this is a condition of entry and accommodation. Should you have any questions, please reach out to us as soon as possible.

Our wedding, being on the other side of the world has a lot to organise, which is why we respectfully ask for your RSVP’s as soon as possible. However the hard cut off will be July 1st 2025, any invited guest/s who have not RSVP’d by this date will be taken off the accommodation list, you can still attend the ceremony however any accommodation or activities will be done at their own cost and be organised independently. We will send any guests who are yet to RSVP a reminder on June 15th 2025. We ask that you specifically RSVP for who will be attending, i.e. if your whole household is invited, but only one parent and one child is attending, please specify this in your RSVP. If you have any issues with this or questions please reach out to the bride and groom and we’ll do our best to make it work for you.

Essentially everything! Food, water, activities, accommodation and airport / station transfers (where organised before hand). There will be a few pockets of free time however we ask for as much involvement as possible in the stated activities. The specific menu’s and itinerary’s will be released closer to the event.

We ask that the ceremony be a phone free event, and that all phones are either turned off or left in your rooms. All other events and at the conclusion of the ceremony we encourage you to snap and post away! However we are hoping for a few days of phone free time, and encourage our guests to keep the doom scrolling to your bedrooms.
The event will be held at Chateau Fengari, in Clérac, France – only 40 minutes out from the town of Bordeaux. More information on the town and travel is available on the travel page.
There will be multiple planned events and activities held on all 3 days, we will send you the confirmed schedules in the months leading up to the event. There will be at least one section for free time as well to relax, or explore the stunning towns of Clerac and Bordeaux.
Lots! We’re not sure of the exact menu, but there will be food and beverages available for all pallets. We will have some local and familiar cuisines available, and look forward to feasting with our loved ones. Please ensure you define any dietary requirements in your RSVP form.
The Chateau itself can house the majority of our guest list comfortably, however we will need to have a few guests situated off site. We aren’t sure of the exact accommodations until we have a finalised guest list, however we will communicate this clearly before the wedding. The offsite accommodations will be close by (within 3km to the chateau) and we will provide a hire car to these guests for ease of transportation, we still want these guests to be included in all events.
Catch a train from Bordeaux airport or city to Saint-Mariens – Saint-Yzan station if you communicate well beforehand, we will organise a collection from the station to the chateau, of course Uber’s or Taxi’s are available. More information is on our travel page!
Unfortunately, you can’t fly to Bordeaux from Australia on the same ticket, not to worry! We recommend flying to Paris or London from Australia (or really anywhere in Europe) then flying or catching the train to Bordeaux, from there, getting to the Chateau is easy! Please read our travel page for more information.

There is an arrival time of 4:30 pm on Monday the 14th of September, please note that the welcome party is at 7 pm. Checkout is at 4:30 pm on Thursday the 17th of September. Feel free to explore Bordeaux or Clerac beforehand, we can assist with transfers from nearby train stations.

Yes, of course! Photos will be made available shortly after the wedding to all wedding guests.

Unfortunately our little angels can’t make the trip, however we will ensure they are included in the festivities!
